Family of the Year?

A man writes me about some point I made in Norway — and then adds this:

Apropos of nothing, I thumbed through my kid’s high school American history book last night. Did you know that Ronald Reagan’s primary impact on America was to double the national debt? No mention whatsoever of his role in winning the Cold War. That was Gorbachev — a “skilled diplomat and reformer.” Also, apparently historians are still confused about who attacked the World Trade Center twice. Just garden variety “terrorists,” similar to Timothy McVeigh, who is mentioned in the same paragraph.

Glad my wife home-schooled the kids through 8th grade — they know all about the Gipper and Islamism, and have been helpful in informing their classmates and teachers.
