Fathi El-Jahmi

The Washington Post today covers the plight of Fathi El-Jahmi, a Libyan liberal dissident.  Kudos to them for picking up the story, albeit more than two years late.  (National Review Online has been on it since the month after El-Jahmi’s arrest).  Both critics and supporters of Bush administration democratization have used El-Jahmi’s arrest as evidence of U.S. impotence and what they perceive as the insincerity of the White House and State Department.
