Today on Uncommon Knowledge, Mark Steyn and Rob Long once again listen in happy wonderment to Ronald Reagan delivering his 1964 speech, “A Time for Choosing.”
Ronald Reagan: We have so many people who can’t see a fat man standing beside a thin one without coming to the conclusion the fat man got that way by taking advantage of the thin one. So…[the liberals are] going to solve all the problems of human misery through government and government planning.
Mark Steyn: Why does that still sound relevant today? Because these are eternal battles. You never win.
