FBI Director James Comey Fired by President Trump

FBI director James Comey has been fired by President Trump.

In the letter, Trump made sure to say that Comey is not investigating him, but told Comey that “you are not able to effectively lead the Bureau.”

Attorney General Jeff Sessions and Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein recommended Comey’s termination to the president.

The news breaks as Comey continues to face criticism for the role he played in the 2016 election. His Senate testimony about Hillary Clinton aide Human Abedin forwarding e-mails to her husband Anthony Weiner apparently contained inaccuracies.
