I apologize for the dreadful FIRE pun, but as the organization’s former president I just can’t help myself. Liberated from the shackles of my leadership, the organization has gone on to do great things — including creating a series of mini-documentaries detailing academia’s assault on individual liberty. Their latest effort, which examines the battle for religious liberty at Vanderbilt, not only describes how Vanderbilt has forced 14 Christian groups off campus but also might be the only documentary that brings together a pentecostal-Christian country-music legend and a prominent gay activists and scholar.
