Looks like the week isn’t off to a great start for No Labels.

Geoff Duncan, the former Republican lieutenant governor of Georgia, who served from 2019 to 2023, announced on Monday that he will withdraw his name from consideration for No Labels’ so-called “unity” presidential ticket in 2024. His decision to pass on a third-party presidential run leaves the centrist nonprofit advocacy group in limbo after a number of other high-profile prospective candidates also ruled out running on the No Labels ticket in November, including ex-presidential candidate Nikki Haley, retiring Democratic senator Joe Manchin of West Virginia, and former Maryland governor Larry Hogan, the former chairman of the group who is now running for the U.S. Senate in 2024.

“It was an honor to be approached, and I am grateful to all those who are engaged in good-faith efforts to offer Americans a better choice than the Trump vs. Biden re-match,” Duncan said in a statement to National Review confirming the news. “In addition to my private sector career and earning a living for my family of five, I am focused on healing and improving the Republican Party with a GOP 2.0 so we can elect more common-sense conservative candidates in the future.”
