Today on Uncommon Knowledge, President Vaclav Klaus of the Czech Republic. Although he earned his doctorate in economics under a Communist regime, he became a stalwart of free markets. How?             

Paradoxically, as a graduate student [my job was] to study, understand, and criticize the capitalist system.  Instead I discovered Hayek, Milton Friedman, Stigler, Gary Becker.
