Free Speech Disaster in Australia

Free speech is under assault in the West. The latest debacle, now playing out in Australia, is the conviction of conservative pundit Andrew Bolt for writing op-eds about Aboriginal identity politics. James Delingpole comments here. Mark Steyn’s hilarious and brilliant video defense of Bolt’s right to free speech is here. The paper that published Bolt criticizes the ruling here. Bolt responds to his conviction here. Mark Steyn survived a similar attack in Canada, but Bolt’s conviction shows that the corner has not been turned. Think it can’t happen in the United States?
