Speaking of that five-vote House race in Mississippi, Greg Davis is sure to finish in the top two in the Republican primary. If elected to the House, he would join the “Davis Caucus,” as he shares what is by far the most common surname in the U.S. House.
Reps. Danny Davis (D-Ill.), Artur Davis (D-Ala.), Lincoln Davis (D-Tenn.), David Davis (R-Tenn.), Susan Davis (D-Calif.), and Geoff Davis (R-Ky.) all plan to stick around for another cycle. Their ranks have dwindled with the recent passing of Rep. JoAnn Davis (R-Va.) and the imminent retirement of Rep. Tom Davis (R-Va.).
