I generally focus just on our own (American) abuse of racial and ethnic preferences, but as Thomas Sowell among others has noted, this is a worldwide fiasco. Anyway, there are this week riots in India, with a number of fatalities, sparked by demands by some groups that they be included among those who get these preferences. Just something to think about, next time we’re told how racial and ethnic preferences help to heal old wounds.
