Further Thoughts on the Castros’ Ambassador

If you were really inclined, you could ask him: Why do you fear a free press? Why do you fear opposition altogether? You ruling Communists are always saying that the people support you. Okay. Then what do you have to fear from opposition? Why not hold genuine elections, and prove your popularity before the world?

An additional question: Do you ever consider what’s wrong with your country, that so many choose to risk death to flee it?

And one more: Other governments don’t imprison and torture those who disagree with them. Do you think there’s something foolish about those governments?

As I said before: a futile exercise, for the most part.
