Several readers have asked variants of this question:
From your reader’s post when he says that the total contribution of
federal spending to the 3.8% growth is 0.61% does that mean that the
non-govt spending accounted for the other 3.19% of growth or that the
gov’t spending was only 0.61% of 3.8% (which equals only 0.02%). For
some reason this is not quite clear to me.
