George Clooney, Part Deux

Many e-mailers, conservatives included, are upset that I called George Clooney illiterate in an earlier post for using the word “been” instead of the word “being” in a sentence. You can’t blame somebody for a typo! is the general line of criticism. Fair enough. But honestly, “been” rather than “being” isn’t actually a typo. If it were a typo, Clooney would have typed “bieng” rather than “being.” This is a mistake in usage. What-ev.
