George Washington University Antisemitism Update: Good News

Last month, I wrote about George Washington University’s shameful response to campus antisemitism. Well, here’s some good news. The school has finally decided to do the right thing and bring disciplinary charges against the Students for Justice in Palestine (SJP) members who staged a demonstration outside the center for Jewish life during the high holidays calling for a new intifada. Initially, this brazen act of antisemitism was met with nothing but a tone-deaf statement from the school. But now, the school is putting its money where its mouth is on stopping bigotry on campus.

The SJP students’ hearing is scheduled for tomorrow, and the organization vows to protest “anti-Palestinian discrimination.” Yawn. More drivel from a group that clearly has no qualms with using xenophobic tactics to make its point.
