The Germans Love Us

David Ignatius rejoices. I’m glad that Germans like us more than they did under Bush. It’ll make European travel more pleasant. What else will it do? Shouldn’t we wait to see the answer to that question before plumping for a foreign policy that increases our popularity in western Europe?
