Get to Work!

ABCNews.com has up an excerpt from a new book that argues, in the ABC write-up, that:

that a new revolution is needed to reform the sexual politics of family and to make women realize that full participation in the work force and the public sphere is their only path to becoming self-actualized human beings.

I can’t help but think that the excerpt is part of an ABC apology to the Feminists of America who have complained that Elizbaeth Vargas will not be anchor of World News Tonight–that she had the nerve to, according to Vargas, choose to take care of family matters (she’s about to give birth) that the anchor slot would have made difficult.

Whose Seat?

Amy Coney Barrett is confirmed. And I think there are two little things to say about it. The first is that we very likely have in Barrett the true successor to Antonin Scalia on the Court. Barrett clerked for Scalia and her articulation of his philosophy is probably the most faithful on the court. Justices ... Read More
