Gibbs: It Was ‘Certainly’ Wrong to Say People Could Keep Their Plans

Former White House press secretary Robert Gibbs admitted that it was the “wrong move” for President Obama to claim that Americans could keep their health-care plans if they wanted under Obamacare.

Appearing on Morning Joe on Monday, the show’s hosts pressed Gibbs on why the White House allowed the president to make such a surefire guarantee, but he said he didn’t recall specific conversations about the phrase. “But do you agree it was a wrong move?” asked Mika Brzezinski. “Oh, well, certainly,” Gibbs responded.
