Gingrich Hit Home Run with Answer on Unemployment Insurance

Rick Santorum gave a perfectly fine answer substantively — and a perfectly boring one — to the question about whether federal unemployment benefits should be extended as long as 99 weeks. Then Gingrich didn’t bother with all the programmatic details that Santorum, senator-like, tried to give; instead, he just focused on clear, popular themes — such as requiring work — and did so with excellent tonal emphases, in terms of how used his voice. Gingrich was very effective there.
