Gingrich: Watch for Romney Campaign To Be ‘Unendingly Dirty and Dishonest’ in S.C.

Warrenville, S.C. –  After announcing that he had risen 11 points nationally over the past four days, per Rasmussen polls, Newt Gingrich said he expected the Romney campaign to do whatever it took to ensure he didn’t win South Carolina.

“I fully expect the Romney campaign to be unendingly dirty and dishonest for the next four days because they’re desperate,” Gingrich told the large crowd at Bobby’s BBQ. “They thought they could buy this. They’re discovering they can’t buy this.”

“I think they have internal polls that show them losing,” he added. “And I think they will do anything at any level and I need your help. People power will beat money power, and I need your help to beat Romney.”

The Romney campaign held a conference call with reporters today to discuss how Gingrich was an “unreliable leader” and also released a web video today on the same theme.
