Giuliani’s Fitness for the Presidency

At View from the Right, Larry Auster has challenged me several times over the last few months to justify how a true conservative could support Rudy Giuliani given some much reported aspects of the mayor’s personal life.  I haven’t wanted to respond, both because I don’t see what’s gained by further plumbing that stuff and because my honest feelings about how we should evaluate other people’s personal lives are, well, personal.  Nevertheless, I decided to respond.  For anyone interested, that response is here, as is Larry’s reply.
