To Give The Cardinal His Due

From a reader:

I attended Mass last week at a parish in Los Angeles and during the announcements the priest read a statement by Cardinal Mahoney urging Catholics to vote against Prop 71. Yesterday, at a different parish in LA, the parish bulleting had a copy of the Cardinal’s letter in the bulletin.

My suggestion? That the Cardinal ought to get a copy of that pastoral letter, scrawl “personal” and “urgent” across the top, then fax it to the governor’s office in Sacramento.
