The Corner

Give ’em Heck, Barry

You know the Obama campaign is running on rhetorical fumes when David Axelrod, discussing Romney’s alleged “outsourcing” of jobs, says the following on CNN’s State of the Union:

“If Mitt Romney became president he would have a placard on his desk saying ‘the buck stops there.’”

This, from the senior campaign adviser to a president who has placed blame for his travails on, inter alia, ATMs, the Japanese tsunami, the Arab Spring, financial headwinds, Americans who’ve lost their ambition, the Tea Party, Europe, talk radio, China, the worst economy since the Great Depression, American laziness, the “rich” not paying their fair share of taxes, Fox News and, of course, George W. Bush.
