“One, we have a gay marriage proposal (that sounds bad) on the ballot that will drive up the turnout for socially conservative voters which I think gives a hidden 2-3 point edge that doesn’t show up in polls of likely voters (we have lot of farm country which is heavily Republican, but sometimes harvest gets in the way of voting)
two, and it’s related, the black vote is unmotivated and/or likely to vote in the high teens for Bush on social issues.”
