John Boehner will have to appease conservatives in his caucus, Jonah Goldberg said on Special Report this evening.

“I think that Boehner . . . has to have something in the [continuing resolution] to appease the conservatives,” Goldberg said, noting that Senator Ted Cruz has lobbied House Republicans to oppose the speaker’s efforts. However, Goldberg said that Boehner could attempt to insert language into the continuing resolution to end the Obamacare waiver for congressional staff.

“[It would be] a very difficult vote for Republicans not to get on board with, it’s a good political vote,” he said.
