The Obama administration does not want to put intervention in Syria up for a vote because it would fail, Jonah Goldberg said Wednesday evening.

“[O]ne of the reasons [the administration] doesn’t want a vote is because [it] would lose,” Goldberg said on Special Report. Goldberg added that a failed vote would make President Obama “ineffectual and weak.”

Goldberg also said that Obama had not persuaded the United Kingdom and France to get involved in an intervention. Rather, “our allies have gone pretty far in persuading Obama to do something,” Goldberg said.
