Good Debate

Four good candidates in various ways. Now that Herman Cain and Rick Perry are gone, the level of discussion has improved. None of these men is without serious flaws. But a listener coming to learn will not go away empty-handed.

Newt was good tonight, but he didn’t hit it out of the park as he did on Monday. Romney, I think, managed to be less robotic than in the past, though he could demonstrate a little righteous anger when he’s attacked. That would help, I believe.

Agree with Santorum on so many issues and yet, his style of characterizing himself as the lone idealist amid trimmers and slackers is cloying.

Paul is Paul. He is speaking more slowly. It helps. Not quite the crazy uncle persona anymore.

Finally, all praise and honor to CNN for holding the debate at 8 pm!
