Jay’s post reminds me (even in my insomniac haze) that I haven’t said anything about Lee Rodgers’s departure from KSFO. I got an e-mail from Lee about it a few days ago, but neglected to comment. I don’t know all the details beyond what Lee says and what I’ve read, but it certainly seems that a great radio talent of long service was treated shabbily. I’ve been appearing regularly on his show — as have many of us around here — for a very long time. It was always great fun and Lee was one of the most charming and intelligent hosts I’ve ever dealt with. I will miss our chats a great deal.
