Austan Goolsbee went out of his way to say he didn’t agree with Jack Welch that the government had “cooked the books” in last month’s jobs report. Fair enough. But that doesn’t mean Goolsbee thought the numbers were Gospel. Here he this morning calling them “artifically” good.
