I have an op-ed on the subject at Politico.com. I’m sort of amazed that in the month that Lisa Murkowski and Mike Castle both lost primaries, John Cornyn could conclude that the social issues are receding in importance. But nobody has said that he has his finger on the pulse of the party this cycle.
