Six months after the September 11 attacks on the American consulate in Benghazi, Representative Frank Wolf (R., Va.) said he is convinced that the administration’s withholding of information about the attacks constitutes “a cover-up.” He called for forming a select bipartisan committee with the power to subpoena the survivors of the attack, some of whom have been at Walter Reed Army Hospital, members of Congress recently learned.
Wolf and and Representative Jim Gerlach (R., Pa.) wrote a letter to secretary of state John Kerry on March 1 asking that they be granted information about and access to the survivors, according to Fox News. Representative Jason Chaffetz (R., Utah) last week expressed his frustration in an interview on Fox News over the administration’s failure to cooperate with Congress on the issue.
