A GOP Year in Pennsylvania?

In Pennsylvania, Pat Toomey isn’t the only Republican who’s surging. According to a Quinnipiac poll released this morning, Tom Corbett, the state’s attorney general, is leading the gubernatorial race by seven points, 44 percent to 37 percent, against Democrat Dan Onorato. As Jim notes over at Campaign Spot, the poll also shows that a majority of Pennsylvania voters support Arizona’s immigration law. To get some buzz, Onorato, an outspoken supporter of Hillary Clinton in the 2008 Democratic primary, is looking to bring in Bubba.

Toomey, for his part, has a new video up today entitled “Bailout Joe.” Earlier this month, a Rasmussen survey showed Toomey up by six points, 45 percent to 39 percent, against Rep. Joe Sestak, his Democratic opponent. RealClearPolitics says Toomey is up by an average of 2.3 points in most polls.
