Graham ‘Not Ready’ to Vote for Debt Deal

Sen. Lindsey Graham (R., S.C.) was uncertain whether he’d support the deal currently under negotiation in the Senate on ABC’s This Week. “I don’t know where I’m going to land,” he told host Christiane Amanpour.

He also predicted that the deal would win only half of the House GOP’s vote. “What do I tell people at home [who say,] ‘What did you do about getting us out of debt?’ I slowed down how much debt you add. Instead of adding $10 trillion, we’re going to add $7 [trillion].”

When cohost George Stephanopolous, incredulous, asked Graham whether he’d vote for the deal, Lindsey responded, “From a big picture, I’m not ready to vote for this.”
