Judging from the speech last night, it appears Gray Davis is indeed taking the
plays designed by Bill Clinton: Admit some slight errors of personal judgment
(here substantive rather than sexual or legal), but then attack the “right wing”
and accuse them of trying “to steal elections they cannot win.”
