The Corner

Greetings from Gorgeous Orange County, CA

We’re enjoying a stretch of what the locals tell me is unusually beautiful weather even for this absurdly beautiful place — that the locals also lament is being destroyed by government.

But I digress. Today all play and no work ends — although it should hardly be called work to blather about my book, which I’ll be doing at a luncheon today (details here), courtesy of the David Horowitz Freedom Center, which runs a Wednesday Morning Book Club here.

Tomorrow, there’s a lunch-time debate at Chapman Law School between me and Chapman Prof. Katherine Baird Darmer (a former colleague of mine at the U.S. Attorney’s Office in the Southern District of New York). It’ll be moderated by the great Hugh Hewitt. The question before the house is: Can the Courts Handle Terrorism Cases? Those interested in the topic will want to tune in to Hugh’s show at 4pm — 7pm for you East Coast denizens — where Kathy and I will have round-two.
