Alison Lundergan Grimes is not just keeping her vote for president close to the vest, but also who she would back as Democrats’ leader in the Senate.

Over the past week, Grimes has been slammed for twice refusing to say whether or not she voted for President Obama in 2008 and 2012.
Last week, during a visit with the Louisville Courier-Journal editorial board, she repeatedly declined to provide a direct answer, ultimately asking the interviewer to “respect the sanctity of the ballot box.” Then, in Monday’s debate against her Republican opponent, Senate minority leader Mitch McConnell, Grimes once again said she would not “compromise a constitutional right” to keep her vote private.
