I’ll agree to background checks on all my future gun purchases, if Obama, Reid, Pelosi, Cuomo, Schumer, et al. agree to fact checks on all their future public statements (provided such fact check is not conducted by the usual suspects from the mainstream media).
I agree to be denied a gun as the result of a problematic background check; in return, Obama, Reid, Pelosi, Cuomo, Schumer, et al. must agree to disown the policy preferences contained in any statement that does not survive a fact check.
