I see that Meryl Streep has enlisted in the anti-gun cause. Twenty-five years ago, she put a lot of apple-growers out of business by lending herself to the anti-Alar cause. She was, indeed, the mouthpiece of the scare. But the Left just moves on, not glancing back at the wreckage, and never reconsidering (or seldom doing so). May Streep have less success against guns than she did against Ma and Pa Applegrower.
