South Carolina Rep. Nikki Haley, who looks like she’ll finish tonight’s Republican gubernatorial primary with 49 percent of the vote, just shy of the 50 percent she needed to win outright, will head into a June 22 runoff against second-place finisher Rep. Gresham Barrett, who garnered 22 percent. State AG Henry McMaster and Lt. Gov. Andre Bauer finished a distant third and fourth — which may or may not eliminate the mudslinging from the runoff.
