I have another problem with Obama’s position on Wright. He wants to say he wasn’t there when Wright said this or that. Okay, maybe — maybe! — that’s true. But lots of the other parishioners were. And these were the membes of the same religious community he’s so proud of. But, from the videos I’ve seen, these people were getting up and applauding and cheering Wright’s 9/11 comments and all the rest. So Obama didn’t hear those comments, but the people he chose to pray with, the people he chose to raise his daughters among, etc are the kind of people who get up and cheer about such things. I’m not sure what I think about how to sort through all of that, but I do know I find it disturbing.
