The CIA officer who led the agency’s post-9/11 efforts in Afghanistan has shed his cover and is now counterterrorism coordinator at the State Department. Other people here know a lot more about this than I do, but I’m just thankful we have people defending us who understand that there are foreigners who value things like honor and prestige and that the world isn’t all Oprah and kumbaya.
