Today in Self-Awareness

Speaking a few moments ago on his radio program, Sean Hannity dismissed with some contempt the prospect of a Michael Bloomberg presidential campaign. All sensible people join Hannity in dismissing it, but Hannity’s reasoning struck me as . . . peculiar. A Bloomberg run would be doomed, in Hannity’s considered estimate, because Americans would never — never — come around to supporting “a lifelong Democrat from New York” with a terrible record on gun rights.

I’d like to reiterate and emphasize: Those words came out of Sean Hannity’s face, of all possible faces on this good green Earth.

Donald Trump was not immediately available for comment on his buddy’s analysis, though one assumes he will be within four and one half minutes.
