Happy Birthday

…to the Intercollegiate Studies Institute. Big 50th anniversary shindig in D.C. tonight, featuring Justice Scalia, WFB, etc. I was a huge fan of ISI in college and remain one today. Back in 1990, as a student at the University of Michigan, I had the incredible opportunity to spend a weekend with Russell Kirk in Mecosta, Mich., at an ISI symposium on Edmund Burke. The hours I spent there were more important than a few semester-long classes I took in Ann Arbor. I could go on and on and on about ISI’s good works. I’ll spare you that, but if you’re at all interested in an organization that supports and promotes conservative intellectuals, then go here.
