Hard Times

Boy, the New York Times is really in trouble.

It’s not just them, either. Alerted by a friend, I picked up a copy of the latest (4/27) issue of The New Yorker. It’s thin, and remarkably short of ads.

I called a different friend who has a nephew in the advertising business. Yes, he said, things are dire. Then he told me he’d just been talking to an acquaintance in legal practice. He’s hurting too.

If lawyers are hurting, things must be real bad.
