Harvard does the right thing

For a change, Harvard University has picked a commencement speaker for 2008 graduation who is above criticism: J.K. Rowling. Her accomplishment speaks for itself. Oh sure, she has a little tendency to political correctness, as evidenced by her odd need to reveal, after the Harry Potter series was officially closed, that Professor Dumbledore, a leading character, is gay. (As if a fictional character can have a sex life beyond anything described or implied in the actual work of fiction.) A far better choice than, say, Putin. And I’m sure they are waiting for General Petraeus to retire to invite him.
