I generally agree with the notion that “hate” speech should not be banned by the government. I have less of a problem with universities and colleges curtailing such things within the boundaries of good taste and good character development. But it just seems to me that if this sort of thing was aimed at blacks at the University of California instead of Jews, and if the alleged culprits had been white instead of Muslims, the administration wouldn’t be so understanding and concerned with civil liberties and we wouldn’t be hearing that “one person’s hate speech is another person’s education.”
