Before the end of the Oval Office event this afternoon, the president was asked about religious objections. He made clear he didn’t know and seemed not to care.
I do know there are people in the administration who do know and do care and who made this announcement less bad than it could have been. I’m grateful for that. It’s still not a good news day.
