I wanted to offer a hearty congratulations to Victorino and Kate Matus on the birth of their son Michael Victorino.
Michael was born early Saturday morning, 7 lbs 13 oz in Arlington, Virginia. Some of you might know Vic’s work as an editor at The Weekly Standard, or Kate from her efforts on behalf of Congressman Paul Ryan. Prior to that, Kate worked at a certain magazine with a blue border that we’re all quite fond of around here.
I saw the cute little guy yesterday, and he’s very alert and healthy. Mother also seems to be recovering nicely. As for Vic, well any celebratory excuse to smoke cigars and drink scotch will do. But he’s justifiably proud anyway.
