Keeping track of the various intertwined investigations into alleged Biden family criminality can feel like a full-time job. There are so many players, so many shell companies, and so many efforts at distortion from politically interested parties that it takes an exorbitant amount of time and energy to keep abreast of the latest developments, and a deft touch to translate it all into clear, concise prose for readers.

That’s why we recently hired James Lynch. Since joining NR last month, James has doggedly relayed each and every development coming out of the congressional investigations into the Biden family’s labyrinthine network of overseas business dealings, as well as the ongoing prosecution of Hunter Biden’s alleged tax crimes.

Reporting of the sort that James and the rest of the NR news team produce daily requires significant resources, so if you appreciate having someone who can wade through the legal mess and partisan spin to deliver you an honest accounting of the Biden family’s conduct, please consider supporting our work.

Just today, James broke the news that Judiciary Committee chairman Jim Jordan is threatening Christopher Wray with contempt over the FBI director’s refusal to turn over information related to the bureau’s dealings with social-media companies ahead of the 2020 election. As James reports, the FBI knew that the compromising contents of Hunter’s laptop were authentic as early as 2019, but nevertheless primed social-media companies to believe the New York Post’s story about the laptop was the product of Russian disinformation, and to suppress the story on that basis. Now, Jordan is demanding to know the names of the FBI officials who met with Twitter and Facebook ahead of the election and who, when asked by social-media executives whether the laptop story was legit, refused to answer.

With your help, we can keep providing you with up-to-the-minute news on the Biden family and much else, as well as illuminating, big-picture analysis from writers like Andy McCarthy, who puts his keen legal eye to work for NR readers in a way that no other commentator can.

There are two ways to support us: One is to give directly to National Review, our for-profit publication. Contributions to the magazine and website are not tax deductible, but they are vital in making what we do possible; another is to make a tax-deductible gift to National Review Institute (NRI), the 501(c)(3) not-for-profit journalistic think tank that supports the NR mission.

If you wish to contribute, feel free to choose whichever option you like or — even better — both. Your readership is very much appreciated.
