Helping Wounded Warriors

Historians will debate former Coalition Provisional Authority administrator Jerry Bremer’s legacy. Agree or disagree with Ambassador Bremer (and I’ve frequently been in the latter camp), he’s an honorable man. Perhaps nothing highlights his honor and his dedication to our forces, and also provides an opportunity to support wounded veterans, more than Ambassador Bremer’s latest project: Ambassador Bremer is biking across the United States to raise support for those wounded in America’s wars. Ambassador Bremer writes:

We’ll have about 20 disabled vets taking part in this 4,000 mile ride. We start out across the Golden Gate bridge on May 22 and finish up at the Atlantic on Virginia Beach 64 days later.

The purpose of our ride is to honor disabled vets and to raise funds for two groups aiding wounded warriors: World Team Sports, which runs athletic events for disabled Americans (on whose Board I sit); and Soldiers Angels, which focuses on helping wounded warriors and their families.

Ambassador Bremer will bike the entire route. As many people know, he has been training long and hard for this. For more information, or to help Ambassador Bremer raise money for disabled veterans, follow this link.
