Here’s How the Left Reacts to a Decrease in Educational Power

Florida Governor Ron DeSantis recently appointed several new trustees of the state’s New College. They are all people who intend to return it to solid, unpoliticized education. Of course, that’s just intolerable!

How intolerable? As we read in this Federalist piece, top administrators tried to cancel a talk scheduled to be given by two of the new trustees, citing their concerns over “safety.” The grounds for such concerns were that the trustees had received threats from some of the Red Brigades-type students the New School attracts.

We also read that the local Democratic Party ginned up a protest.

The statists know that their hold on power depends on their ability to indoctrinate students. DeSantis should keep this up. Governors in other states should follow his lead. And their appointees should be willing to calmly face down the people who are ruining educational institutions.
